Following up from our earlier article

on the issue of Dasam Granth Parkaash alongside Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji , the 2nd of two Darbars was held on March 7 2009 ,unlike the 1st one

Thankfuly hardly anyone turned up to this event.Local sources in and around the Gurdwara have informed us of the outrage expressed by the local sangat at this act of Parkaash of Dasam Granth alongside Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

A member of the sangat who has been in contact with us through email and would only like to be identified as 'H Singh' wrote the following;

'about the dasam darbar at Baba Sangh Gurdwara i for one can tell you that on the 1st darbar the majority of the people who came were not even from our area and most came from London and other areas like Cov and leeds .Most of the elders rejected and some were even frightened of what wa s happening at the gurdwara by seeing the weird things happenng,my friends family a normal sikh family who come gurdwara like once a week or so were scared off and chose instead to go to Guru Nanak Gurdwara.Its not that we want to fight our own sikh brothers ,but how can this happen a parkash of Dasam Granth on the same platform as our Guru Granth Saab Ji?I dont want to go down jatha routes or nothing but most were taksalis,sanathanists,and a few nanaksaris,although local jathas here who i dont want to name incase of reprisals didnt take part and did try to lobby local Gurdwaras but no one wanted to go stop them.the 2nd darbar from what i know and have been told was a mish mash and the main people were from southall and london areas.the problem we have is why are they comming here and causing trouble to our sangat why?they can have their views and what not yeah but you know why come here and try disturbe our sangat?the people who orgnaise it are two faced you see them at 1984 rallys and marches and them darbars like 1984 remembrance and all those yeah,but when this darbar thingy comes they chat and align themself to those same people who hate Baba Jarnail Singh Ji ,Jathedahr Sukhdev Singh Ji and other shaheeds.ive been told one of the guys who came to the 2nd darbar is a namdhari dressed in nihung singh bana even,i really dont know what UK sikhi is comming to why are they hobnobbing with namdharis,nang niddar singh chele and other anti panth peoples,if they want to pray to dasam granth as their guru they are free to do so but dont scare the local sangat away by forcing it on it on them,,il keep you updated on any new things in our areas around sandwell H sINGH'

The regular occruance of these events by taksaal and other groups is very very alarming to the local sangat in the UK as can be seen by their views on the issue,the common man from the sangat is scared away to such an extent he has to another Gurdwara due to the atmosphere being disrupted ,is this Sikhi?Where we have one Guru one Panth and one Granth?

Hypocrasy of those involved is also pointed out in the email along with their double standards

Below are some pictures we've been told that the UK sangat may well recognise faces from Takaal,Nanaksar,and even Namdhari,the usual coconut smashing as seen in the pics above took place ,the Darbar as you can see is empty ,that just shows what the local sangat believe most are so bafffled they don't attened when these 'outsiders' appear with their brahmin rituals

'''The Durbar was well attended by many Sampradaya including the Damdami Taksal, Nihangs and others as well. Hence, all in all the sangat showed their love and support for the Sant-Sipahi / Warrior Saint concepts that are integrally interwoven into the fabric of Sikhi by supporting the Bir Ras Durbar and the following Rehansbhai Kirtan which was well attended through the early hours and the Asa di Vaar Kirtan at 6.30 am.

Kirtani, naujawan paathi and Kathakaar who performed in support of the program included Ragi Bhai Balwant Singh Josh, Bhai Mohan Singh (Sikh Awareness Society), Bhai Ranjeet Singh Rana, Bhai Maan Singh, Naujawan Inderjit Singh, Bhai Satpal Singh and Jaspal Singh, Giani Sukdev Singh (Malaysia), Bhai Vikram Singh Nihang, the daughters of Bhai Amrik Singh (Damdami Taksal), Bibi Sukhjinder Kaur, Bhai Aman Singh, Hardeep Singh, Rajan Singh and Professor Amar Singh.
